THE TAROT BIBLE
The Definitive Guide to the Cards and Spreads
The tarot has been used over the centuries to divine the future and to discover hidden truths. Over the past thrity years or so the tarot has grown in popularity, and has become one of the major tools for self-discovery and personal growth. Why? Perhaps the answer is simple – the tarot speaks a language which is accessible to all.
The Tarot Bible teaches you everything you need to know about tarot, including how to choose the right pack of cards and how to ask questions. It features interpretations for every card of the Major and Minor Arcana, practical advice on how to give readings and how you can use tarot in combination with other divination techniques such as numerology, astrology and crystals. The book also features over 30 tarot layouts that you can use to gain insights into yourself, your relationships and your future.
The 78 cards of the tarot deck carry an extraordinary ability to mirror who you are. They provide an immediate access to your deeper self, whether you call this your soul, inner guide, divine messenger or intuition. The tarot ‘speaks’ a language that is universal because it taps into the archetypal realms that permeate your unconscious. These are the universal qualities that we all share, and are the most basic patterns of human feelings, thoughts and ideas.
From the Author

The Tarot Bible has become a classic beginner’s guide to tarot reading, and is now one of the most popular tarot books around the world. As part of the best-selling Godsfield ‘Bible’ series, it has been translated into many languages.
I have been giving readings and teaching tarot since I was in my twenties, mostly because when I first came across this mystical deck of cards, I was looking for answers to love and life. The first card I ever drew from the deck was the Major Arcana card, the High Priestess. It was this card that showed me the way forward, and soon after, all the other cards began to make sense. Tarot reading not only complimented my work as a consultant astrologer, but added an archetypal depth to self-understanding, and to which, intuitively, I could relate.
Tarot is an extraordinary pathway to self-knowledge and for realising what your true intentions are. Often likened to the journey of the Fool (the major arcana card numbered 0) making their way through life, tarot reflects your own inner and outer journey.
Most tarot readers relate the major arcana cards to aspects of oneself, and the minor arcana as outside influences, whether other people, events or experiences. In fact, every time you draw a card, you are ‘seeing’ an aspect of ‘you.’ It’s awfully hard for us, as individuals, to be totally objective about who we are. In fact we are so subjectively bound up in our feelings, our thoughts, our personal goals and so on, (not forgetting our defences, needs and desires) tarot throws us a chance to be objective, to look at ourselves in the looking glass and see who we truly are.
So enjoy looking into the tarot mirror and seeing the real you – reflected in every card, and at every moment you choose to look.
